Buying Guide FAQ - Types

There are 3 main categories of pool floats:

Inflatables: These vinyl products come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. They are easy to inflate and deflate, easy to clean, lightweight, easy to carry, and do not clutter storage. However, poor quality inflatables have a short life because they are prone to puncture and ripping at the seams.

Foam: These closed cell synthetic products are unsinkable, buoyant even when punctured, easy to clean, and can last many years. However, these foam products can be heavy and bulky, clutter storage, and they may crack, peel, and disintegrate if not kept in proper care.

Polystyrene Beads: These are fabric floats filled with buoyant beads inside, like a bean bag. Some can be used inside and outside the pool. This category has several drawbacks. They are bulky and consume lots of space. They are heavy when wet and difficult to clean. Poor quality products are prone to tearing and you may find escaped beads floating in your pool.

The AquaBoy Pool Chair has all the best qualities of an inflatable pool float, plus its crafted with high-quality materials that overcome every shortfall. The inflatables are made of heavy-duty gauge PVC and covered with a canvas style fabric making it resistant to puncture.

The fabric chair cover is made of UV resistant, solution-dyed polyester and acrylic fabrics, the same fabrics used in outdoor covers and patio furniture upholstery. Every order comes with a complimentary electric air pump making inflation a breeze. The quick empty valve allows for no hassle deflation and storage.
